We collect and use data to demonstrate the magnitude and impact of accountability challenges in Uganda as well as support “evidence-based” advocacy to help policy makers address policy gaps and decision makers take informed decisions to challenge and issues of corruption and wider public expenditure concerns. Our ability to translate acquired knowledge and trust to facilitate linkages and space for dialogue between communities and governance structures, through rights-based approaches, is aimed at strengthening civic engagement and the realization of key accountability outcomes.

We have identified the need for mobilizing the civil society and communities towards the tracking of public expenditure as well as monitoring the oil sector in relation to agreed international standards such as the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) and the World Bank International Finance Corporation (IFC) sustainability standards. Additionally, we support evidence-based advocacy to help raise the voices against corruption and indignity.
